As you can see, things look a bit different around here. I was bored one day and decided to give this place a makeover. I’ve been planning this for a bit now, and while it’s still not complete, I’m pretty happy with how it’s looking. Thanks to A List Apart’s Randomizer, I’ve made it so the background image above will randomly change every time the page loads. Go ahead, try it. Just refresh and you should see a different image.

I’m also planning on adding an MP3 player to play some of the music I’ve been working on lately. That’ll be implemented… well, whenever I damn feel like it.

I know it’s been a while since I last posted, but that’s because I’ve been busy doing things to post about. That’s my excuse anyway.

Since I last logged into this blog, I’ve been to many shows, met various people, and endured much rain (gorgeous Paris summers my ass!) I have even more planned in the near future. Tomorrow begins Rock en Seine, a 3 day music festival with a tremendously great lineup. The people I mainly want to see is Björk (I’ve missed the last three opportunities to see her), Arcade Fire, Dizzee Rascal, M.I.A., Kings of Leon, and the Shins. It will be difficult seeing them all, but I’m gonna try anyway. A few days after that, I will be visiting friends in Amsterdam and Cologne. I’ll let y’all know how it all goes down.

As many of you might already know, I will be leaving the wonderful city of Seattle on July 1st and will be in Paris, France by the end of the month. In between then, I will be visiting Las Vegas for a couple weeks, and afterwards, I will be visiting New York for the first time. Then from NYC, I’ll be departing for France and will be there for three months. I hope to find a way to make some money to extend my stay and possibly even become a resident.

When I tell people of these plans, I get a lot a lot of questions about my motivation for going there, my plans when I get there, and my means of surviving while I’m there. To be honest, the short answer to all of these is, “Dunno, I’ll see when I get there.” C’est vrai. I don’t really know why I’m going, I just know that I’ve always wanted to visit Paris. I’ll be there for at least three months, which is quite a while, so planning an itinerary is just silly. And as far as staying fed and sheltered, I’ll have enough money to keep me alive for those three months, but after that, I’m not sure. The only thing I know is that I’m going, especially since the plane tickets have already been purchased.

I will be redesigning this blog in the near future and will do my best to update it regularly while I’m there. Hopefully not too regularly, as I’ll need to actually do things so I can blog about them.
