On Friday night, I met with friends in Vegas’ current cool spot in downtown called the Beauty Bar. It’s where all the local hipsters go for shits and gigggles. Next to it is the Griffin, the bar where we pre-funked. I was really happy to see such places exist, especially in the Downtown area. This is exactly what Las Vegas needs: a return to classiness. With a new resort being built almost every year, it’s getting really annoying keeping track of the Sin City’s hot spots. With the Arts District/Downtown revival, it feels like Vegas is conjuring the times of the 50s and 60s, when the Rat Pack ruled the city, and it was all about class and sophistication… well, at least as classy and sophisticated as one can be in Las Vegas.
